We have an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef to join our Awesome team based in our Cruize Restaurant with potential to work across all of our 3 unique restaurants.

You will assist and support the Head Chef in the planning and organising of the kitchen brigade, menus and preparation of food to the required standard, deputising in his/her absence. You will also actively motivate team members to reach targets and maintain a harmonious working environment, adhering to food safety and environmental health regulations.

We are looking for someone who has experience working in a similar role in a busy fast paced restaurant or resort environment but most importantly we are looking for someone with passion and personality. Someone who is hardworking, works well under pressure and is a strong team player.

Initially we are offering this role on a temporary contract but there is the potential for a permanent position as well.

Competitive salary. Live in accommodation is available.


- Assist and support the Head Chef in planning and developing menus and setting prices in co-operation and line with the Executive chef and Food & Beverage Manager

- Supervise chefs in the preparation and cooking of menu items, carrying out and/or co-ordinating induction and on-the-job training. Ensure required standards are met by managing the performance of chefs and providing technical advise and support

- Personal preparation of menu items as required

- Organising staffing, prepare staff rosters and co-ordinate the training and development of kitchen brigade

- Assist in achieving food profit percentage as laid down by the company

- Ordering and supervising the quality and stock control of kitchen supplies, monitoring and controlling wastage

- Allocate duties and supervise and monitor performance of kitchen porters, providing training in the safe and efficient use of equipment and cleaning materials

- Ensuring that Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations and standards are met, personally and by kitchen brigade members

- Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time

Groundsperson - All Resort

Assistant Restaurant Manager - 1869 Restaurant

Situated on the beautiful Isle of Arran on the West Coast of Scotland, Auchrannie is a unique resort with two 4 star hotels and over forty 5 star luxury self-catering lodges and retreats. In addition to our luxury accommodation we deliver amazing dining experiences across our 3 restaurants, as well as the chance for our guests to relax in our luxurious leisure facilities and book a treatment in our ASPA, Scotland’s first island destination spa.

We are looking for individual with personality, someone who is passionate about food and service and has had the ability to inspire and develop their team to delight our guests.

Scope of Job:
  • To lead team to deliver the highest level of service at all times to delight our guests.
  • To work within the F+B management team to deliver high standards of stock management cost control and delivery of restaurant budgets
  • Prepare work rotas and ensure that staffing levels are correct and within set budgets corresponding to the weekly business.
  • Assist with the recruitment, induction, training, appraisals and development plans for all teams.

SPA therapist - ASPA

The Aspa is Auchrannie’s award-winning spa. We are proud to work with some of the most luxurious skincare brands available on the market, namely Espa and ishga.
You’ll be part of our busy spa team - Passionate about creating memorable experiences and giving awesome guest service. Your professional and friendly approach will immediately reassure our guests are in safe hands. Your love and knowledge of our brands will also help you recommending the ideal product to complete the guest spa journey, and drive revenue.




REQUIRMENTS:

A HND/ NVQ level 3 is essential for this role, previous experience is required. Ideally must have previously worked with Espa.

We require you to be able to do all aspects of beauty confidently from massage to facials and waxing. Must be motivated to work unsupervised and as part of team.

When you’re here full training will be provided including extensive in-house training, as well as certified ESPA essential training with the potential for advanced certified ESPA training.
